Join Us For Our 30 Day Sugar-Free Challenge!!

We all know sugar causes ‘cavities’ and the dreaded sugar crash but what other ill effects can be attributed to sugar? Starting this week for 30 days we will be posting some of the things you may not have known about how sugar can have a negative impact on your health.

Participation is completely voluntary. All you have to do is reduce your sugar intake to under 30g of sugar per day. Less is better but we know that might be hard.

Here are some things to avoid: candy, desserts with refined sugary, white bread/flour/potatoes/rice (think "if its white, it's just not right), corn (corn gets turned essentially into high fructose sugar), dried fruits, soft drinks, sweet wines (dry wines are ok), regular beer.

Things you should eat: whole grains and whole-grain products, fruits that are higher in fibre such as apples, meats, fish, cheeses, eggs, nuts, sugar-free candy/desserts.
